Wochenendliches Schaffen / Working at the Weekend

Gestern habe ich mich rangesetzt und bin mal dem Problem mit dem Tank und seiner veränderten Befestigung auf die Pelle gerückt. Ich habe mir gedacht, ich nutze das alte Schraubenloch aus und fertige mir eine Adapterplatte an, die dann den neuen Tank passend auf das Moped bringen soll.
Schnell war die 4mm Aluplatte zur Hand, ich muss sagen, dass das Ergebnis mich doch recht zufrieden stellt. Ich habe mal wieder ein paar Bilder geschossen und zeige sie euch besser gleich:

Yesterday I thougt about a solution for the mounting of the CX 500's tank on my frame. My first approach to a solution was to use the old holes for the original tank and to manufacture an adapter which will provide the new hole for mounting the CX's tank.
For this I used a 4mm thick aluminium sheet and the result makes me quite confident. As usual, I took some photos for you:

 

Ok, ich hatte keine Fräse zur Hand, also musste die Standbohrmaschine und die gute alte Feile dienen. Es fehlen noch schwingungsdämpfende Gummis, dann sollte das ganze auch schon vernünftig aussehen. Anschließend wird es genau wie der Rahmen kunststoffbeschichtet und sollte dann fast nicht mehr auffallen.

Ok, I had no milling machine so I used the good old drill press and file. There are still vibration-reducing rubbers missing, so it will look quite good, when its finished. Finally I am going to have the adapter plastic-coated, so it won't attract much attention with the plastic-coated frame.
